Prizes

In 2009 the Max Rostal Prize amounts to a total sum of 10.000 Euro for each instrument, the violin and the viola:
1st Prize: 6.000 Euro
2nd Prize: 2.500 Euro
3rd Prize: 1.500 Euro

One the top of this Mrs. Marion Rostal-Busato offers a special prize of 500 Euro for the best interpretation of the compulsory piece. Additionally, an audiance's award of 1,000 Euro will be awarded at each concert in the final round. The prizes are sponsored by Kogge& Gateau, studio of violin making and restoration, and by an anonymous donor.
