16. March 2021 – The Architecture programme at the Berlin University of the Arts has received the joyful news that our colleague Jean Philippe Vassal, together with his partner Anne Lacaton, has been awarded the Pritzker Prize in Architecture. Jean Philippe's pioneering work in the field of „Stadterneuerung" has opened up new avenues for urban planning, building design in an existing context. The fundamental ideas to build simply combined with high spatial qualities in the complex contemporary urban situation are sustainably reflected in a large number of the works of our Bachelor's and Master's students.
