#16 A Discussion About Harriet Jacobs

4 November 2019: Composer/performer Anthony R. Green will discuss his recent research related to the life of Harriet Jacobs in the Salon titled "Enslavement, Isolation, Sexual Abuse, and the Brain: a discussion about Harriet Jacobs". The evening will also include a conversation with Dr. Ilya Veer about trauma, the brain, and how Ms. Jacobs could survive such extreme physical and mental duress.

DE-HEIMATIZE IT!

26 October - 17 November 2019: Our alumna Tanja Ostojić will exhibit the entire exhibition archive of her project "Lexicon of Tanjas Ostojić” (2011-17) and "After Courbet” (2004), each of them for the first time in Germany, in the context of DE-HEIMATIZE IT! at Maxim Gorki Theater.

28 October – 3 November 2019: Our former fellow Stefan Hayn presents his new film Pain, Vengeance ? | Brot, Rache? | Bread, Revenge? (2019, 76 min), which is based on two texts written by French author Robert Antelme (1917-1990), at DOK Leipzig.

Dorothea-Erxleben Scholarship at HBK Braunschweig

September 2019: Lower Saxony and the Braunschweig University of Art (HBK) awarded three scholarships in the framework of the Dorothea-Erxleben programme to Helene Appel (Painting), Pauline M’Barek (Performance) and former Graduate School fellow Kerstin Ergenzinger (Sound Art).
