Call for Applications - SoundS 2023

Dear friends of SoundS,

We are happy to announce the start of the application phase for the upcoming winter semester in our master program Sound Studies & Sonic Arts.

Applications can be submitted online from today on until March 1, 2023. We would be happy if you pass the message on to those who are interested. You can checkout our Application Checklist to help you with the process.

In addition, the next sic! event will take place on February 14. This time the guest will be the media artist Nandita Kuma from India/New Zealand. She explores the elemental process by which people construct meaning from their experiences by developing sensory narratives through sound, video/animation and performance, smartphone apps, custom motherboards, and solar and microwave sensors.

We are excited about the creative submissions and look forward to an exciting artist talk, preferably with you.

Sound Studies and Sonic Arts is a low-residency, part-time postgraduate program, aimed at professionals working in the field of sound with a university degree or exceeding creative talent. The program serves to deepen theoretical and practical skills of audio related theory and practice, particularly in cultural studies, musicology, aesthetics, sound art, performance, architecture, design and media production.
The Sound Studies and Sonic Arts program is held in English and spans over three years with alternating phases of residency and off campus projects, concluding with a Master project and a degree in Master of Arts.
