OPEN DAY 2018

Dear Friends of Sound Studies and Sonic Arts,

 

Our Open Day is coming up quickly!

In preparation for our next application round between February 1-14, 2018, we cordially invite you to our Open Day this Saturday, on January 13, 2018 where you can meet our faculty and students, check out our facilities and find answers to any of your questions about our Master’s program.

Afterwards one of our extracurricular events, die Reihe, will take place, presenting the Japanese sound artist Seiji Morimoto, who will show his performance Sprite(2015) for multiple-feedback system and parametric speaker. He will also be exhibiting his work Scopescapes(2017) at Spektral-Raumohr from January 12-14, 2018. Entrance is free as always.

Sound Studies and Sonic Arts

is a part-time Master’s program for sound artists, designers, and scholars at the Berlin Career College for continuing education of the Berlin University of the Arts. Our aim is to deepen theoretical and practical skills in the fields of audio-related theory and practice, i.e. cultural studies, musicology, aesthetics, sound art, performance, architecture, design, and media production. The Sound Studies and Sonic Arts program is held in English and spans over three years with alternating phases of residency and off-campus projects, concluding with a Master of Arts degree. 

 

Applications for the Sound Studies and Sonic Arts Master’s program will be accepted again between

February 1-14, 2018.
