Dear readers of our newsletter, dear friends of the BAS and the Graduate School,

we would like to share some news with you today. Since the beginning of March we have a new (shared) Chair of the Joint Committee BAS: Prof. Dr. Alberto de Campo and Prof. Dr. Ariane Jeßulat.

We are particularly pleased to introduce our seven new fellows and associates of the Graduate School, whose fellowship programme will begin this October.

The publication of the current fellows, Imagine Something New, Like Justice, is about to go into print with Archive Books. We would also like to draw your attention to the Graduale - the final exhibition of the current cohort - at Galerie Wedding in September and cordially invite you to the conference Secrets, Treasures, and Sharing – Forschen und Teilen?

As always, there are also exciting announcements from our fellows, associates and alumni.

The book explores the complexity of social, historical, physical and environmental justice in artistic theory and practice. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Seda Yıldız, who has actively driven the realisation of this collective project. The publication will also be presented at the BAS conference in June.

Conference: Secrets, Treasures, and Sharing – Forschen und Teilen?

25 - 26 June 2021: The Berlin Centre for Advanced Studies in Arts and Sciences (BAS) organises the conference Secrets, Treasures, and Sharing Forschen und Teilen? Important topics are the documentation of research data and work, different materialities as well as inter- and transdisciplinarity. Through an exchange with UdK-internal actors as well as international partners and guests, new perspectives for an adequate research infrastructure will be discussed on the basis of concrete, current projects. Within the conference we organise a colloquium for the entire 3rd cycle of the UdK Berlin. Project proposals can be submitted until 6 May.
