We are very happy that we can finally continue with our event series Salon für Ästhetische Experiemnte at HKW Berlin. And we would like to share with you the latest news from our fellows, associates and alumni.

(Cancelled) #17 Presents

12 October 2020: Presents is an exhibition of short video works that don’t require an abled or physically present body in order to be performative. Curated by our fellow Romily Alice Walden and Frances Breden.


#18 She Smiled as Though She Were Squinting at the Future Through Heavy Smoke

16 November 2020: An infrastructural inauguration is a mixture of architecture, monument, and sculpture, with a tension of performativity and fragility. An evening with fellow Salwa Aleryani and guests, moderated by Ovül Durmuşoğlu.

Future Generation Art Prize Shortlist

August 2020: PinchukArtCentre announced the artists shortlist for the 6th edition of the Future Generation Art Prize including Rindon Johnson.


Exhibition: Video Installation "Araf"

11 July - 31 October 2020: The Van Abbemuseum presents Araf, the 2018 film by Didem Pekün. Presented with surround sound in a single gallery installation, the 45-minute film will be screened every hour on the hour.

Solidarity Campaign "Artists United for Osman Kavala"

July 2020: Didem Pekün published a video in the framework of the solidarity campaign for Osman Kavala, a cultural benefactor imprisoned in Turkey.

September 2020: The Sono-Choreographic Collective, founded 2018 by Kerstin Ergenzinger, Bnaya Halperin-Kaddari and Kiran Kumar, celebrate their first publication in herri magazine.


Colours of Becoming

18 May 2020 - 21 February 2021: The Design Museum Ghent in Belgium presents Judith Seng's Colours of Becoming as part of the exhibition Kleureyck.
