This Loops session features Aram Bartholl, whose work explores the friction between virtual culture and the material world. Merging conceptual art, hacker ethics, and urban intervention, Bartholl reclaims digital iconography—such as avatars, data clouds, and browser interfaces—by transposing them into physical environments. His DIY-oriented practice investigates how networked technologies reshape public space, identity, and interaction. Through playful yet critical gestures, he exposes the hidden infrastructures of the Internet and reframes digital participation as a collective, spatial, and embodied act.
