The College of Fine Arts provides training not only for artists but also for art teachers in various levels of education. In addition, the College offers the continuing education Masters programme “Art in Context”.
Apart from the latter, all study programmes begin with a foundation course of two semesters, in which students learn the basics of artistic design and can explore different techniques and working methods. The foundation year provides the basis for subsequent study in a specialist class. The aim of study in a specialist class is the development of an individual artistic position. Critical assessment and dialogue between teachers and students are followed by individual and class discussions as well as lectures and interdisciplinary excursions. During their study programme, students already present their artworks in public exhibitions and so learn to face public discussion.
