All undergraduate programs at the College of Fine Arts start with two foundational semesters, during which students are introduced to the basics of artistic design and begin to work with artistic techniques and methods. These foundation courses are the basis for subsequent work in a later, specialized course, designed to help students develop their own artistic identity. Class discussions and field trips promote interaction between students and teachers both within and across specialized courses. In addition, exhibitions provide students the opportunity to present their work in public and further advance their individual artistic development.
