The University of the Arts Berlin is deeply concerned and dismayed by the violent attacks of Hamas on Israel. We stand in solidarity with our Israeli colleagues, students and artists in our partner institutions in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. As an artistic university in Germany with a complex history, we have a special responsibility – our thoughts are with the victims, injured and kidnapped hostages as well as their friends and families. We look with concern at the political developments and join the messages of the German Rectors' Conference (HRC) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
