short vita

Christoph Nytsch-Geusen studied environmental protection and energy engineering at the Technical University of Berlin and graduated with a diploma in 1992. He worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Energy Technology at the TU Berlin from 1995-2000 and in 2001 he was awarded the title "Calculation and improvement of the energy efficiency of buildings and their energy technology in an object-oriented simulation environment". In 2007, he was appointed a university professor in the field of "Supply Planning and Supply Engineering" at the course of studies in architecture at UdK Berlin. His research focuses on object-oriented and equations-based simulation methods for heterogeneous technical systems, scalable modeling and simulation methods for building energy systems at space, building and city quarters as well as room-climatic and energy-efficient building design. Christoph Nytsch-Geusen has been Vice-Director of the Institute for Architecture and Urban Development at the UdK since 2013. In addition, since 2012 he has been teaching and researching at the Central Institute El Gouna of the TU Berlin.
