Since May 2025, Charlotte von Bernstorff has served as Personal Advisor to the President in the Strategy and Higher Education Policy Unit at the Berlin University of the Arts.

She previously earned a Master's degree in Cultural Journalism from the same university and went on to work for several years as an editor and writer at Deutschlandfunk Kultur. Her journalistic focus lay primarily on socio-political and cultural topics.

She was responsible for leading press and public relations for the nationwide democracy project LOSLAND.

Previously, she studied economics in Copenhagen and Munich, with a focus on international management as well as the cultural and creative industries. Early on, she gained professional experience in the cultural sector, particularly in press and communications work — including for the international literature festival berlin, the classical music streaming service Idagio, the gallery Eigen + Art, and the Digital Concert Hall of the Berlin Philharmonic.
