short vita

Sirid Heuts studied Communication in Social and Economic Contexts at the Berlin University of the Arts and, with a DAAD scholarship, at London Guildhall University and later as a guest student at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin. While still a student, she worked as a journalist for radio and print media and later as marketing manager for the Theater am Potsdamer Platz before taking over as head of the press department at the Theater des Westens Berlin. She established the communications department for a multimedia exhibition by WWF Germany on the island of Rügen. Further positions took her to the German Newspaper Publishers and Digitalpublishers Association (BDZV) as event and award manager for two creative awards, to the public relations department of the city of Berlin, and to the Federal Music Association for Choirs and Orchestras (BMCO) as head of public relations.

She is the founder and musical director of various ensembles focusing on Argentine tango (Muzet Royal) and French chanson, has participated in numerous festivals, international festivals, and collaborations (working with Christophe Bourdoiseau, Caroline du Bled, Caio Rodriguez, Juan Manuel Melgarejo, among others), and has performed at theaters and stages throughout Germany.

Together with the team at the Interfaculty Events Office, she designs, organizes, and supports events that involve all faculties and departments at the Berlin University of the Arts. These include the UdK Berlin Art Award, the Rundgang - Open Days, and the crescendo music festival.
