RhythmicTextures

Based on artistic investigations on how to orientate oneself at the borderline of static and signal, the project “Rhythmic Textures” deals with rhythm as subliminally present texture of vibrations and variations. In form of sculptural mechanisms the project explores how we deal with complex phenomena and environments. Hybrids between creature and machine, between instrument and space, seek ways to broaden our perception rhythmically, acoustically and tactilely. “Rhythmic Textures” explores the threshold of perception and moments when perception becomes perceptible.

The experimental works of artist Kerstin Ergenzinger are metaphorical places: realms of experience, sculptural perceptual machines, record and sign system. They examine the sensual and philosophical relation of human and place.
