Johanna Boehm

Johanna Sophia Boehm, born on Nov 15, 2000 in Washington, D.C. grew up in Germany.

She was a member of the class for young talents and Precollege Early Music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Followed by a bachelor study at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with J.Isaac and J.Domenech in recorder and baroque oboe. Now she is doing a master study in baroque oboe at the Universität der Künste Berlin with X. Löffler. Along with taking part in different masterclasses all over Europe with teachers like A.Böhlen, A.Bernardini, A.Brüggemann, A.Power, E.Bosgraaf and A.Torunczyk.

Johanna has won several first prizes at the National level of the German “Jugend musiziert” competition as a recorder soloist and with recorder and mixed Early Music ensembles. In October 2019 she won a first prize and the Junior Jury Prize with her ensemble Gorgonzola at the Open Recorder Days Amsterdam.

 

Among others she performed with Akamus 2025, the Nederlandse Bachvereniging in 2024-22, as well as Vox luminis 2024, Holland baroque 2024-23, the Royal Wind Music 2025-23, the Freiburgerbarockorchester 2022, Jerusalem baroque orchestra in 2022 and with the La Cetra Barockorchester in Basel 2016.
