Internal Reporting Options and Support
Observations or experiences of antisemitic incidents can be reported via the email address provided below.
Access to this email inbox is limited to the President, Professor Dr Markus Hilgert, the Chancellor, Dr Ulrike Prechtl-Fröhlich, and Dr Michaela Conen, Process Officer for Antisemitism Prevention. From 29 September 2026, Henning Gutfleisch, who has served as the President’s Adviser on Antisemitism since 1 August 2026, will also have access to the inbox during an eight-week transition period.
Dr Michaela Conen will continue in her role as Process Officer for Antisemitism Prevention. During the transition period, however, responsibility for providing guidance, advice and support to people affected by antisemitic incidents, an area previously overseen by Dr Conen, will gradually be transferred to Henning Gutfleisch. This is intended to ensure continuity and a reliable transition, while providing those affected with a clear and trusted point of contact throughout the process. At the end of the eight-week transition period, Henning Gutfleisch will assume full responsibility for this area.

Please describe the incident in as much detail as possible in your email. The following information may be helpful:
When and where did the antisemitic incident take place?
What happened?
Who was involved in the incident?
Were there any witnesses?
Reporting antisemitic incidents is important in order to make such incidents visible, document them and enable an appropriate response. Incidents can also be reported if some time has passed since they occurred.
Every reported incident will be documented. If requested, the incident can be documented without including personal data. The handling of personal information and any further steps will be agreed with the person making the report. Every report will be carefully reviewed and dealt with promptly. In general, you will receive an initial response within one week of receipt of your report.
You will then receive information about possible next steps, as well as information about appropriate specialist support services, such as OFEK e.V. Reporting an incident to the University does not replace professional or specialist advice.

If you would prefer to discuss your concerns confidentially in the first instance, you may also contact Henning Gutfleisch, Adviser to the President on Antisemitism, directly. In this case, your concerns will only be shared with the President and/or the Chancellor with your consent.
