Start of the Year Reception

The University of the Arts Berlin kicks off the year by bringing together representatives from academia, culture, business and politics to discuss the important issues of our time. Economic pressure, digital upheaval and social tensions pose major challenges for art, culture and science. Since 2026, the President of the Berlin University of the Arts has been inviting exciting guests and experts at the beginning of the new year to discuss innovative concepts and ideas. Artistic contributions from the colleges and centres highlight the exceptional quality and diversity of the Berlin University of the Arts and underline its role as one of the most important art colleges in Europe.
