Tag 3, 2026
Tag 3 is an immersive installation that links observation, movement, and shifts in perspective. A motorized camera arm slowly rotates along a metal rail, continuously capturing images of the exhibition space and its visitors. These live recordings are transmitted to two monitors mounted on wildwood poles. This creates a constantly evolving image of the space, where people, viewpoints, and positions overlap.
The installation invites visitors to perceive and reflect on their own role within the fabric of the space from unfamiliar perspectives. Natural materials such as fieldstone, wildwood, and hemp rope create a deliberate contrast with the technical apparatus of cameras, motors, and batteries. This hybrid structure symbolizes the interaction of different systems.
Tag 3 views the exhibition space as an urban space: a place of constant movement, encounter, and change. Visitors themselves become actors in a dynamic urban-university structure that reshapes itself with every step.
Biography
Clemens Fischer works in his artistic practice with image apparatuses, exploring the relationship between the image and the viewer. In an experimental approach, he engages with current questions regarding image production and reception. His works combine photographic, kinetic, hydraulic, and pyrotechnic elements and are realised as installations or experimental setups. Through the use of analogue devices and automata, he questions the dominance of digital technologies.
