Haus8Kollektiv

under the same roof

Haus8Kollektiv is a collective of six international female artists currently living together in Berlin and studying Fine Arts at UdK Berlin. Elle Dominguez, Carlota Álvarez Barrera, Kana Yamada, Sara Cruz, Yasmin Fellows, and Yuika Sato work with different media and formats such as painting, photography, drawing, sound, and installation. The artists explore different themes and motivations such as space, memory, nostalgia, and the quotidian, and come together in this collective to explore the relationship between their work, their experience as a exchange student at UdK Berlin and their experience of living in Berlin.

Each of these artists has found their own path during their time living in Berlin, finding their place in the city. The UdK Berlin is a meeting place for artists who come from so many different places and who come together in this moment of sharing and artistic creation, reflecting the experience of living in the city of Berlin. As international students at UdK Berlin, we absorb the energy of Berlin into our works, seeing the city with fresh eyes.
