Queer history is also Berlin history!

During Pride Month, the UdK Library presents a diverse exhibition exploring LGBTQIA+ history, culture, and literature with a focus on Berlin. To show: Queer history is also Berlin history!

With a carefully curated selection of books, biographies, and nonfiction, we invite visitors to engage with queer perspectives, discover voices from the community, and explore the richness of identities and experiences.

For the exhibition, the curators selected books from the existing collection as well as added new titles that were not yet available but seemed essential to them. The library has kindly agreed to order these. If you’re curious about which books will be released soon, click on the link in the bio to preview and reserve them in advance.
