As part of the course “Experimental Film and Media Art”, a two-day excursion to the Hamburg International Short Film Festival is planned. Since 1985, the festival has been one of Europe’s most prestigious platforms for artistic short-form cinema, operating at the intersection of film, exhibition, performance, concerts, and discourse. 

Between June 4–6, 2026, students will attend selected screenings, festival programs, and accompanying events. The excursion provides an opportunity for an in-depth engagement with current positions in experimental short film and for networking within the professional festival environment.
