‘Nearly Nothing’

This collaboration at the UdK UNI.T Theatre on Saturday July 18th, from 18:00 – 22:00, is where BA and MA Costume Design students will stage experimental scenes, exploring topics of variation, series, and the imperfect. Organised by Prof. Beatrix von Pilgrim, Luise Würth, Jan Thoben, Jack Savidge, Marina Mason, Momo Reß, Anna Schlote, Anton Fischer, Hanna Lenz and Miriam Damm, this practical work is complemented by dramaturgical formats, foundational exercises, and thematic connections to other technical fields. The music and sounds to these scenes is provided by 18 Sound Studies students, each paired with a corresponding Costume Design student. Thus, every scene represents a 1:1 collaborative attempt to portray notions of the ‘Nearly Nothing’.

The music used in this show will be available to purchase as a compilation album from Sound Studies, as curated by Jack Savidge. There will also be a listening session for this album at ‘After’, Köpenicker Str, on Wednesday July 15th.
