'Trans-Connect’

Initiated by the Goethe-Institut in Georgia, ‘Trans-Connect’ marks the culmination of an artistic exchange developed in collaboration with the master’s program Sound Studies and Sonic Arts at UdK Berlin. The project brought together twelve artists based in Tbilisi and Berlin, working across sound art, performance, and time-based media. After a residency stay in Georgia in October 2025 (‘Connect-Disconnect’), the final works – many developed through long-distance collaboration – were presented across the Goethe-Institut building in Tbilisi from March 20 to April 3rd. These works are now refined and updated to exhibit on the third floor of Lietzenburger Straße 45, as part of the UdK Rundgang.

Participating Artists:

Nino Dava, Sergio De Luca, Zeliha Dogusan, Loris Luciano Foti, Mananiko Kobakhidze (Ethernet_011), Anna Korkashvili (Sky Collar), Luka Machavariani, Tamara Maghlaperidze, Irakli Margishvili, Patrick Nininger, Anaparn Pinpradub, Mariam Songhulashvili.

Project lead by:

Prof. Georg F. Klein, Chelsea Leventhal (UdK)
Laura Hartz, Manana Marsagishvili (Goethe Institut).
