Echoes of Synthesis | Group Performance

Sunday 20.07 | Doors 15:00 | Start 15:30

Echoes of Synthesis is a group performance showcasing the outcomes of the AV Block seminar — a practice-based exploration of audiovisual synthesis as both a technical process and a conceptual framework.

Throughout the semester, students engaged with generative systems, real-time processing, and feedback mechanisms to investigate the dynamic interplay between sound and image. Emphasizing signal generation, cross-modal translation, and cybernetic thinking, participants worked hands-on with modular audio and video synthesizers, DIY circuits, lasers, oscilloscopes, and experimental software environments.

The seminar encouraged students to rethink the boundaries of sound and image in real-time environments and to create dynamic, often unpredictable relationships between audiovisual elements. Each project explores synthesis as a space of emergence, complexity, and holistic design.

The final performance presents a series of collaborative and individual works that reflect diverse approaches to experimental media and the students’ evolving artistic practices.
