Sprung from a collaboration between the UdK and Zwitschermaschine project room, SoundsAbout was originally conceived as a [literal] space for artistic expression and discussion. During three months every year, SoundS master’s students take over the Schöneberg gallery to present and discuss, question and celebrate their work and ideas.
Since its inception, SoundsAbout has then grown into a university-supported, student-run collective. It is responsible for organising, curating and promoting events that showcase to the outside world the research, practice and development happening within our program. Current initiatives are November and January-March seasons at Zwitschermaschine, The SoundS chapter at UdK Rundgang and a live performance series at the Bundesallee Probensaal.
Always open to the public and open to any sound art-related format imaginable that can fit into the space. Check the SoundsAbout website and social media channels to stay always up to date.
