Moritz Haase, Harpy’s Solar Intrigue, 2020, Design: Vogler Soujon

Gustav Mahler: Symphony No. 6 in A minor
Symphony Orchestra of the UdK Berlin
Conductor: Steven Sloane

The Sixth Symphony in A minor is a classic of the concert repertoire. It captivates audiences with its powerful and incendiary outbursts of emotion as well as those all too familiar mighty hammer blows . This dramatic musical  language is complemented by those extremely delicate colors
so typical of Mahler combined with the late-Romantic Viennese zeitgeist. A work that unites the full range of human emotions and delights the ear at the highest level!

Last year's concert by the UdK Symphony Orchestra was a concert for peace. This year on November 24, the orchestra will again be a guest at the Philharmonie Berlin, offering the audience Mahler's Sixth Symphony in A minor, another highlight of the Mahler cycle.

Conductor Steven Sloane is the orchestra's artistic director and has held a professorship in conducting at the UdK Berlin since 2013.

Advance ticket sales are open at all VVK outlets and via www.reservix.de until Friday, November 24 at around 2 pm.

Tickets will also be available at the box office on the day of the concert from 7 p.m.
