For the third time in a row, the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin) has been awarded as a “Ideenschmiede” in the Berlin-Brandenburg Business Plan Competition (BPW).

The website of the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin) is the university's central information and communication platform in the digital space. In order to fulfil this role, the website is undergoing a gradual development process.

In the winter semester 2024/2025, the election of the President of UdK Berlin will be held by the Extended Academic Senate (EAS). Information on the election will be announced on this page.

The Academic Senate adopted a Code of Conduct for the UdK Berlin on 8 May 2024. It formulates principles for respectful and appreciative interaction between all members of the university at the UdK Berlin.

The Festival of German Film Ludwigshafen am Rhein has awarded Prof. Thomas Arslan the ‘Filmkunstpreis 2024 - Best Director’ for his film "Verbrannte Erde".

The Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin) and The Oxford Research Centre for the Humanities (TORCH) at the University of Oxford have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to take effect from January 2024.

At the Berlin University of the Arts, the artistic programmes fine arts, music and theater/performing arts can be studied for a teaching degree. Information on the teacher training programmes can be found here.
