Anna Kokalanova

Anna Kokalanova (1983) studied architecture and urban planning and is currently writing her PhD thesis on „Arrival Infrastructures. Spatial Practices of Bulgarian Roma in Berlin“. In her research she focuses on the informal and temporary manifestation and design practices of the urban. Annas practical experience includes being a project coordinator at the International Building Exhibition IBA Hamburg 2013 as well as the realization of a series of interventions in public space with the collective „spacedepartment". Since 2012 she has been involved in teaching and research among others at HafenCity University Hamburg and the University of Technology Vienna. Since April 2017 she has also worked as teaching and research assistant at Institute of Architecture and Urban Design, UdK Berlin.
