Karina Griffith

Griffith joined the faculty in October 2018 and now serves as Artistic Lecturer, succeeding Wolfgang Knapp in the thematic teaching of Artistic Work within the context of media and image production. Griffith holds an MA in Feature Film from Goldsmiths, University of London. In addition to her transnational media arts and curatorial practice, she is a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto’s Cinema Studies Institute where her research on Black authorship in German cinema interacts with theories of affect, intersectionality and creolization.
