Prof. Nina Fischer

Nina Fischer is a visual artist and filmmaker, based in Berlin. Since 2015 Nina Fischer is Professor for Experimental Film and Media Art at University of the Arts, Berlin. From 2007 until 2010 she has been Associate Professor for Film and Media Art at Sapporo City University, Japan. Since 1995, she has been working together with Maroan el Sani as an artist duo.

Nina Fischer & Maroan el Sani were awarded the Karl-Hofer-Preis of the University of the Arts, Berlin, they received several artist in residence stipends e.g. at Deutsche Akademie Villa Massimo in Rome, DAAD in Tokyo, Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, Stedelijk Museums in Amsterdam and Villa Kamogawa - Goethe Institut, Kyoto. International exhibitions they have participated in include Gwangju Biennale 1995, 2002, 2008, Liverpool Biennial of Contemporary Art,
