Adrian Jones has been active as a musician and cultural manager in Berlin, Munich, and Dresden for more than three decades. Born in England and raised in South Africa, he began his musical career as a cellist after completing his studies in Freiburg and London, before turning to orchestra management. This was followed by nearly 25 years in leadership roles with major German orchestras, including the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. These positions shaped his expertise in artistic development, strategic organization, and sensitive internal communication.

Since 2024, he has been channeling this wealth of experience through Adrian Jones Consulting (www.adrian-jones-consulting.com), supporting conductors, soloists, orchestra committees, and cultural institutions in matters of artistic branding, team and process culture, and structural development. His work combines artistic expertise with organizational clarity and diplomatic tact. Since October 2025, he has been teaching the course “Orchestra Management for Conductors” as an lecturer.
