Zebu Kluth

Zebu Kluth studied German Studies and Theater at Freie Universität Berlin. In the 1990ies, he worked at Berlins Hebbel-Theater, was Co-Founder of the sophiensaele and TanzNacht Berlin. From 1996 to 2001 Artistic Director of Theater am Halleschen Ufer (HAU2 today), which developed at that time to a leading venue for Performance and contemporary dance. He also was a member of Rat für die Künste at the Akademie der Künste as a Speaker for the Berlin independent theatre scene. From 2004 to 2017 he was Financial Director of several Hamburg Theatres, as of Hamburger Kammerspiele, in 2021 Co-Founder of the Festival Privattheatertage. He was a Member the Group of Privattheaters at Deutscher Bühnenverein and Member of the Board of Hamburger Theater e.V. From 2017 to 2021 he was Rector of Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch, Berlin. From Oktober 2021 Professor for Artistic Selfmanagement and Cultural Communication at University at the Arts Berlin.
