Leaning Out of Windows - Art and Physics Collaborations through Aesthetic Transformations

"Leaning Out of Windows - Art and Physics Collaborations through Aesthetic Transformations" is an arts-based research project, connected to Emily Carr University of Art & Design, Vancouver, and funded by SSHRC - the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council in Canada.
This multifaceted collaboration brings international scholars and researchers from major particle physics laboratories (TRIUMF, Fermilab) into a conversation with a team of contemporary artists. It focuses on the importance of interdisciplinary methodologies for considering current outstanding questions in particle physics and aims to generate multiple ways of knowing through a design methodology called "Aesthetic Transformation".

Elvira Hufschmid is a Vancouver-Berlin based visual artist, curator and author in the field of Processes of Aesthetic Transformation and Temporary Art Spaces.
