„Querströmung 2“ for percussion and tape (2011) by Daniel Ott is the essence of a piece staged at the shore of the river Ruhr, where the interpreters were leading an acoustic dialogue with the roaring swoosh of a dam’s waterfall in the former industrial landscape. Daniel Ott has condensed the audio material and transferred it into a memorizing interior space, the former site specific dialogue is continued at the concert hall.
