Exhibition “Contemporary Transnational Journeys and Liaisons”

Our Fellow Lizza May David takes part in the exhibition “Contemporary Transnational Journeys and Liaisons” in Manila.

This exhibition reflects on the experience of Filipinos living and working in different continents around the world.

Through the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Manila, this exhibit tells us the role of artists in their global cultural interaction, while echoing their amalgamation of cultural and national identity.

An exclusive preview of the exhibition was held last April 28, coinciding a special screening of the film ‘Edna’ (2015), directed by Mr. Ronnie Lazaro. This event opened the film cycle entitled “En transito. Migration Stories”, dedicated to a widely featured theme in Spanish and Philippine cinema,immigration. This project was organized by the Instituto Cervantes de Manila, in collaboration with the Metropolitan Museum of Manila, the Embassy of Spain, , the AECID Filmotheque, and the Film Development Council of the Philippines.
