unReal Exhibition in Shanghai
Our fellow Kerstin Ergenzinger presents in the frame of the unReal exhibition at Chronus Art Center in Shanghai her kinetic installation “Wanderer Spacetime Poetry“ that dynamically generates a drawing in the exhibition space with small thermal printers.
The exhibition “unReal. the Algorithmic Present” attempts to confront the digital present through the very means of technological intervention both as critical examination as well as alternative prospects. The twenty-three works in the exhibition by international artists underscore the often-hidden materiality of bits and bytes, bringing to the fore the algorithmic processes that constitute our digital present.
In the context of the exhibition, which took place at HeK in Basel before, is a talk in German by Dominik Landwehr with Sabine Himmelsbach (Director HeK), Pe Lang, our alumno Ralf Baecker and Kerstin Ergenzinger online available. Please find the opportunity to listen to it here.
