From 2006–2009, Benjamin Schneider studied mathematics at the Freie Universität Berlin. He then transferred to the Berlin University of the Arts to complete an additional bachelor’s degree and teacher training in music. He is currently completing a master's degree in this program with a major in violin and a focus on music theory. From October 2012 to September 2015, he participated in the Research Training Group “Knowledge in the Arts” as a research student.
