It is hard to imagine our working and private lives without computers and smartphones. Unfortunately, the devices that accompany us almost around the clock pose a risk to sensitive data. However, it is difficult for users to understand which programmes collect and pass on which data.

Dominik Annies and Peter Glas have addressed this issue with the Pellta project, which increases the security of digital devices and gives users more control over what information can leak out in a simple way.
