To ensure a successful start to your studies, we invite all new students from abroad (degree-seeking students) to a pre-arrival information session. You will receive information about enrolment and visas and have the opportunity to ask questions.

International students who are completing their entire degree programme here will receive a general introduction to studying at UdK Berlin. There will also be an opportunity to meet important contact persons at UdK Berlin in person. Followed by a Q&A session and an informal exchange over snacks and drinks.

ORIENTATION MEETING
Exchange students will receive a general introduction to studying at UdK Berlin, information about our German courses and the cultural programme. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for an informal exchange over snacks and drinks.
The Campus Rallye will start immediately afterwards.

EXCURSION TO THE BAUHAUS IN DESSAU
As a group excursion, we will travel together from Berlin Central Station to Dessau, where we will visit the Bauhaus building, the Masters' Houses and the Bauhaus Museum.
The Bauhaus Dessau, which existed from 1925 to 1932, was the most important location of the most influential art, design and architecture school of the 20th century, founded by Walter Gropius. This is where the foundations for modern architecture and design were laid. The iconic Bauhaus building, designed by Gropius, as well as other Bauhaus buildings in Dessau, are now UNESCO World Heritage Sites and bear witness to this revolutionary era.
The contribution for the excursion is €5 per student (including lunch) and can be paid at office 432 to Anne Strauß/International Office (Einsteinufer 43, 10587 Berlin) or at the Orientation Meeting. Cash payments only!
Office hours for payment at the office: Mon 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Wed 09:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Schedule:
8:45 a.m. Meeting at Hauptbahnhof Berlin/ Berlin Central Station (expected to be platform 14, RE 7 to Dessau Central Station) – departure at 9:15 a.m.
11:30 a.m. Guided tour of the historic Bauhaus building (English/60 min.)
1:00 p.m. Lunch snack at Trinkhalle Dessau
2:30 p.m. Guided tour of the Masters' Houses (English/60 min.)
4:00 p.m. Visit to the Bauhaus Museum (visit is optional)
Individual return journey to Berlin: 4:05 p.m., 5:05 p.m. or 6:05 p.m. from Dessau Hbf/ Central Station.
The Germany Semester Ticket is required for the train journey!
The number of places is limited to 50 people.
