The design research & methods section of the department stands on the crossroads of art and science. We explore the role and position of design in the contemporary world, focusing on its cultural, political, and social impact on communities. Our classes connect the design discipline to the wider society through a combination of theory and practice, introducing students to new points of view and encouraging them to observe their environments with critical reflection and beyond the traditional boundaries of the field.
