Dörthe Günther studied music and English at the Berlin University of the Arts and Humboldt University. She is currently working on her doctoral project about historical concerts in the context of 19th century international exhibitions and is research assistant at UdK Berlin. Furthermore she focusses on historical performance practice in the 19th century, formation of musical canons, music and politics as well as Rome as a musical centre in the 17th and 18th century.
