For the first time, the UdK Berlin invites to Previews at different locations on Friday, July 22, 2022. On this day, members of the university, experts from the fields of art, design, music, performing arts, Berlin's cultural institutions, selected sponsors of the UdK Berlin, and representatives of the press will be given a special insight into the inspiring work of our students, lecturers, staff even before the public Rundgang days (July 23.-24, 2022) begin.

Shortly before the previews start, you will receive a ticket with a QR code by email. Please show it when entering the UdK Berlin building.
The formats with the indication open to the public are also accessible without a preview ticket.

Ä&K issue 184 deals with war as a mode of political communication in images and texts. It results from a research module in the MA program Social and Business Communication / Reading, presentation and exhibition.

Auguren + Digital Sovereignty
Other-Control vs. Self-Determination
designtransfer shows projects by students of the Faculty of Design with a focus on Other-Control vs. Self-Determination and artistic projects in cooperation with the Weizenbaum Institute.
In the outdoor showcase, designtransfer presents Bi0film.net, an open project by Jung Hsu & Natalia Rivera / UdK Berlin New Media Class. The project pays tribute to bacterial resistance in contrast to the reductionist discourse of war and was awarded the Golden Nica in the Interactive Art category of the Prix Ars Electronica media art competition.

After researching the topic of catastrophic tendencies in the age of the Anthropocene, we gave students of the Costume Design class the task of inventing figures that survive in a hot-humid or hot-dry climate.

Resonant spaces and musical architectures - inspired by Mozart's opera "Idomeneo" /exhibition and performances
Inspired by Mozart's opera "Idomeneo," opera-like scenes and sound installations have been created. The installations can be walked through throughout and will be performed musically and performatively at times.

HZT Berlin @ BHROX bauhaus reuse
Dance/choreography/performance students of the HZT present from their semester projects and invite to participatory formats.
Students in the field of dance, choreography and performance of the three study programs (BA Dance, Context, Choreography, MA Choreography (maC), MA Solo, Dance Authorship (SODA)) of the Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum Tanz Berlin (HZT) show their semester projects and excerpts from final projects. We also invite to participatory workshop formats on Ernst Reuter Platz and in /at BHROX bauhaus reuse, the transdisciplinary center and participatory urban laboratory existing there since 2019.
