Prof. Dr. Markus Hilgert has been president of the Berlin University of the Arts since April 1st, 2025. Below you will find a brief CV and information about his presidency.
Duties of the President
As president, Prof. Dr. Hilgert provides overall leadership and guidance for the university and represents the institution in external matters. Other duties of the president are defined in the Berlin Higher Education Act (Berliner Hochschulgesetz).

To strengthen a culture of open exchange, Prof. Dr. Markus Hilgert offers regular consultation hours for UdK students.
