Girls’Day + Boys’Day 2026 at Berlin University of the Arts
Girls’Day + Boys’Day 2026
This year, the Berlin University of the Arts for the first time took part and organised programs for girls and boys aged 12 and over.
To start with, 14 young people from each group learnt about the many different careers available within the administration at the UdK. The pupils also attended a lighting rehearsal on the stage at UNI.T, took part in a construction planning exercise and explored the concert hall at all levels with the event technology team. The highlight was undoubtedly the opportunity for one pupil to play the grand piano live on stage.
The pupils were guests at the International Office and the library, with the boys particularly impressed by the old Bible in the library’s basement and solving the quiz about the UdK and its career profiles. To round off the day, they visited the Primary School of the Arts on Bundesallee, where the career path of an art teacher was presented in detail.
An intensive and interesting day for everyone involved!
About the Action Day
Since 2010, Girls’Day + Boys’Day has been held once a year as a nationwide career orientation day. It is sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.
On this day, children and young people age 10 and older are encouraged to explore careers or academic fields in which the proportion of women or men is below 40 per cent.
