The kwmm Academy provides the conducting students of the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) with regular professional development sessions focusing on career-related skills. It supports UdK Berlin conducting students in strategically advancing their artistic and organisational projects and in taking confident ownership of their professional developmenThe Academy offers workshops and courses covering practical topics such as project development, fundraising and finance, marketing, legal matters, and strategic self-management within an evolving cultural landscape. The programme draws on many years of experience in international music management, including artist representation, tour management, self-produced events, consultancy, and coaching. Rather than offering standardised seminars, the Academy develops tailored formats that meet artists where they are in their professional journey. The focus of each course is adapted flexibly to the composition of the group, for example with a particular emphasis on contemporary music or on the specific challenges faced by conductors.
