Master's students may choose to take these subjects as an elective.

Concept Design (winter semester)

Various design methodologies and visualization strategies are developed on the basis of texts. The focus is on costume design conception and its creative and practical elaboration. The work process is documented and presented at the end of the semester.

Concept Design / Artistic Research (summer semester)

Research topics are processed in an interdisciplinary way in workshops and experimental design processes. The students deal intensively with theoretical and aesthetic discourses and become authors of their research results. The work is presented to the public at the end of the semester as part of the UdK Rundgang.

Project studies

Beginning with the fifth Bachelor semester and in the Master’s program, joint projects take place with the courses of the College of Performing Arts and external cooperation partners. The costume design students have the opportunity to produce their designs in cooperation with the costume workshop of the faculty.
