Performance
The literal meaning of "ou-topos-ia", Nowhereville is a bi-local immersive performance exploring the utopian visions of the internet's destruction of space from the perspective of living through it. Performed simultaneously at CHB, Berlin, Germany, and Virginia Tech's Cube Theatre, in Blacksburg VA, USA. The piece makes use of ambisonic recordings both as concrete materials, and, when reduced to their instantaneous spatial and timbral content, as sources for synthesized sounds.
