Third Space Walk – Flaneuses* between virtual and material urban spaces – Ausstellung

Luisa Vidales & Maria Narezo

The exhibition presents various artistic and research-based positions that take flanerie as a core element of their exploration of the urban space.

The interaction between societies and technologies shapes everyday life in urban spaces as the boundaries between analog and virtual worlds are dissolving. A hybrid third space emerges. How can we understand these enmeshed spaces in cities to be able to imagine their futures from a diversity of perspectives?

The exhibition Third Space Walk presents various artistic and research-based positions that take flanerie as a core element of their exploration of the urban space. Across different media and out of feminist and postcolonial perspectives, the works reflect on, create, and shape third spaces.

Third Space Walk is part of Mirjana Mitrović’s PhD project that unfolds between Berlin and Mexico City. The exhibition combines outcomes of seminars, workshops, and submissions from an open call and is a collaboration between Luisa Vidales, Valentina Sarmiento Cruz, Anna-Lena Panter, and Mirjana Mitrović.

The project lives and continues to grow in the digital space: thirdspacewalk.mirjana-mitrovic.de
