Artist Training ARTISTIC COLLECTIVES announce an open call for support of 5 artist collectives in exile coming from the fields of music, fine arts, performing arts, film and one interdisciplinary group. Deadline: 26th of June 2020.

The new project Artist Training ARTISTIC COLLECTIVES* is a qualification program offered by the UdK Berlin Career College aiming at the qualification, consulting and networking of artists in exile. In three editions from April 2020 to December 2021, five artist collectives from the sectors of music, fine arts, performing arts, film and an interdisciplinary working group will receive support for five months. Artist Training offers a training unit consisting of 30 hours with monthly workshops according to individual goals, two individual consultations, the presentation of artistic work at a venue and the exchange among all groups. In addition, the Digital BASICS convey basic topics of self-employment with two hours of videos and 12 hours of in-depth workshops. The goals are networking in Berlin's cultural and creative industry through getting to know the institutions, the establishment in Berlin's job market and strategic positioning in the respective artistic direction. In order to participate in the first edition, please send an application as an artist collective with a specific topic, project or goal by the 26th of June 2020. The course is addressed to professional artists in exile only. The course language is English. The program is free of charge. More information is on the website and on Facebook.

Since 2016 the Artist Training provides 33 modules containing information and contacts for about 300 artists in exile and creatives from the following fields: music, culture and media, fine arts, performing arts, and film. Networking events facilitate connections within the respective artistic sectors, while consulting activities examine in depth individual situations.
